 Possible sick frog

My husband has a white’s tree frog he got for Christmas. For the past few days he has been acting oddly. Normally he hangs out on the side of the glass somewhere or under his plastic log. But lately, he’s been sitting in a corner. He sort of dug a little hole & is sitting in there. Yesterday he came out a few times to wander around the glass but then this morning he’s in the hole again. He’s not seeming as active as he normally is and there are two crickets in there that he hasn’t eaten yet. We do feed him every couple days so that’s not all that odd but why is he sitting in a hole in the corner? His heat & humidity are fine.

Can anyone give me an idea what to do?

my leopard frog does the same thing... he sits in the corner... I think they just pick a favorite spot or something because when we take him out to hold him for a bit or when he is hungry and there is food he is perfectly active....

how old is he? he could just be slowing down and not as energetic anymore. also, is it getting colder outside where you live? he could be slowing down for fall and winter. this happened to my friend’s frog and he was just fine and still is. he got more lively again in the spring.

Do the corrective things now before any time lost.
1) Use tropical fish store tetracycline (broad spectrum antibiotic) in frogs water at tropical fish concentration.
2)Find the Lamasil spray treatment for chyrtrid fungus ( info on line). Safeway/Rite Aid? Do it.
Don’t waste time worrying about the cause. If these treatments are needed they will effect a cure. If they are not needed you will not harm the frog by administering them.
