While it’s a froglet (has all four legs and still has the tail), they normally don’t eat anything, and once the tail gets absorbed, that’s when it’ll start eating the live food like crickets. When they’re young they’ll take small crickets, usually about 5 per day, but it depends on the size of the frog as it’s developing. Just try out different amounts and see what the frog seems to do best with. Also dust the crickets with a calcium supplement about 2-3 times a week when the frog’s still young. When they mature they get fed once every two days-ish, larger crickets and the dusting is about once per week.

The rule of thumb for food items like crickets is no larger than the space between the frogs eyes, so obviously as the frog gets bigger, so can the food. They really don’t need mice or anything, fish like guppies and minnows are good treats, not goldfish though, they’re pretty unhealthy.
