Our Pacman Frog The water looks a bit deep for him, try to keep it just under his chin, they can be pretty clumsy and drowning is a possibility. Other than that, as long as he’s not eating moss or gravel along with crickets, he should be fine...just try to monitor feedings so that you can be sure he’s not eating substrate accidentally, which could lead to impaction.

Our Pacman Frog I know that he’s not eating moss unless... he’s doing it when I’m not around. I’ve been feeding him pinkies and a few feeder fish. he eats 2 pinkies a week. The water’s not all that deep. when he’s standing in it, his nose is above the water. I change the water every day. A thin film comes over the top of it, but looking at the water underneath it it’s clear. I’m thinking of doing away with the water, and just having a layer of gravel, keeping the water at the highth of that and piling the dirt and moss atop of that. Thank you for your input so far. If you have any other tips, please let me know.

Our Pacman Frog Well from what I understand pinkies are pretty fatty, so they should be fed more as a treat than a staple in the diet. Crickets are really the best staple (along with roaches if you can get them), and fish like minnows and/or guppies are good if those are the feeder fish you’re using.
Yeah open water like that can be a hassel, that’s why I mainly just use water dishes, they’re so much easier to clean. I mean your setup looks really nice, but maintenance looks a bit time consuming, I always opt for whatever works and is easiest for me and the frog ;)

Our Pacman Frog Oh... I didn’t know about the pinkies. I got the frog at a reptile show, and basically learned all about him in that day, then I came home and read up a little bit more about it. The guy had said that he had fed them pinkies about 2 times a week. Okay... good to know then. Thank you very much.

Our Pacman Frog No problem. I know a lot of vendors say they feed the frogs a lot of pinkies, I think they do it because the pinkies seem easier to feed and some people might be squeemish with crickets.

Our Pacman Frog I know you’ve already been told this, but pinkys should only be fed *maybe* once a month.
Otherwise crickets, worms, and feeder fish work.

Our Pacman Frog
nononononono, dude, you get a shallow water dish, 5 gal 4 baby 10 gal 4 adult and bedding is eco-earth or coco fiber. staple-crickets, or dew worms, fish- one every 2 weeks, mouse a month, temps 72-82 like 70+ humidity dust staple like 1-2 times a week is how i do it with calcium. Watch naithenf on youtube and watch his pacman care videos. If you keep your pacman in the water like that it’ll look like this
