What kind of frogs are these? help please! :)

i caught these two frogs in northern michigan is a swamp. i’m pretty sure they are either leopard, mink, or green frogs. they had tails still when i got them so i’m assuming thats why the spots are so small. they also look like they have the potential to be pretty good sized. thanks!

Lightning bugs are toxic... Don’t feed them to any animal.

lightning bugs will most deffinately kill them if u feed them to them and they eat them. do NOT feed them lightning bugs under ANY circumstances.

I think releasing those frogs back into the wild would be best. You really need to do research before you bring something home, and when you do, a captive bred animal has a much better chance of survival since they’re not totally stressed by a new environment surrounded by potential predators (you and other people in general).

They actually look kinda like bullfrogs... if they seem to be climbing alot them they might be green frogs.

Leopard frogs have a distinguishing gold coloring on the dorso. folds and above the top lip from the eye to behind the eye. They also have leopard like markings on the body and legs not just a random spotting or banding on the legs (like on green frogs).

These both look to be green frogs and young but sexually mature females.
