 Baby frogs
i have two hyla cinera or hyla versicolor not sure which. i caught them when they were tadpoles and i am raising them right now. this is there first day they climbed on land and i bought some pinhead crickets to feed them. but they wont eat them. they still have some of there tails but the wont eat. the temp is fine and so is everything else. what do you think it is?

when tadpoles first climb on land there mouths are not yet fully developed. so, in order to stay nourished there body consumes its tail, once there tail is fully gone they should be willing to eat.

ok thanks they have been on land now for about 2-4 days now and still have not been eating but have their tails a bit. i have a few crickets in the tank for now till they get hungry. i have them in a 5 gallon tall tank with a few rocks and bamboo with moist paper towl bottem because they are too small for the ten gallon im afraid they will get lost. is that ok till they are bigger?
