Can you feed frogs and toads mealworms?

Many people argue about this, but yes, as long as the frog is healthy mealies are acceptable food items. They are a little low on the nutritional value of things though. Better to go with nightcrawlers, crickets, and roaches.

They’re something you buy when the store is out of crickets or whatever. Just don’t try to rush through the whole can when you buy them. Their heavy exoskeletons are pretty constipating, so don’t use them for a bunch of feedings in a row. Buy them when you have to, but then get something else squishier to alternate with.
