Worried about green and black dart frog!!

I have a d. leucomelas (gold and black) and a d. auzarus (green and black) frogs. They are about 8 months old and we bought them from a breeder near our home. They live together in the same 10 gallon tank which the breeder said would be okay for "awhile". I often find them together in the cocohut or under a leaf. The children think this is cute, but i wonder if the gold and black is not "bullying" the green and black? who does not seem to be thriving unlike the leucomelas. The gold and black is very active and clearly healthy. He has grown significantly. I am worried about the green and black frog. He has not grown much, he doesn’t seem interested at feeding time and i have poked him twice this week to make sure he is alive. I have considered separating them, but i am afraid if they are indeed "friends" this could make the situation worse. Please advise.

Im no expert... But i would say seperate them. I bet you will see a difference in the behavior of the one that is not very interested at feeding time. Maybe keep them apart but with a tank divider or something to if they are bonded by friendship you will see them both next to the divider more than apart... but thats just my thought...

Yeah id say separate them they might be two females, how old are they? If they are both females they wont get along at all exspeacialy in a small terrarium. I just got some blue poison darts frog a couple of weeks ago and that’s what an expert said to me. Good luck.

the leucs are much more agressive and bold. you need them seperated or they will out compete the auratus for food and territory. you were had by a salesman. darts should never cohabitate. they can hybridize between different dendrobate species and that isn’t good for preserving the species in captivity.
