 Fire bellied toads

I just bought 2 fire bellied toads and i am wondering do they eat anything other than crickets? If they do what. I didn’t know when i bought them that one was a male and the other a female. I do believe they are mating, how many baby toads do they have? How long are they pregnant and can they stay in the same aquarium as the adult toads?

My toads eat waxworms as well as crickets. But limit waxworms to once a week, or so. Mine eat from my hands.

I don’t think toads get pregnant. I believe it’s external, where the eggs and sperm meet outside of the bodies. They can have anywhere from 300-1000 eggs at a time, and they cannot be kept with the parents.

Congratulations on the new FBTs! I just got my second one today, I love those little guys..ha

Besides crickets, they’ll also take worms (such as waxworms and earthworms ) and even some small feeder fish such as guppies or rosies. Use a reptile/amphibian vitamin dust on the insects every few feedings.
Adults typically only need to eat 2-3 times a week, just watch that the FBs do not become overweight.

Hope that helps!
