Pacman, possible impaction?
Ive had my pacman from, Thor, for about 4 months now, and everything has been going well. I feed him a few mealworms every other day (or whenever he decides to eat) but recently he hasnt pooped any. I use T-rex brand jungle bed from the pet store, so its possible im just not seeing it... but he used to poop in the water dish, and he hasnt done that in some time. he is also eating much less, and many times refuses to eat; hence, I think he may be impacted. Is there any sort of medicine/ curative i could give him that could potentially help? ive heard of using mineral oil, is that done? Id really like some help on this (or any insights in general) as I am worried about him :( thanks for your help |

I dont live anywhere near a vet, nor do I really have the means to pay for a vet visit; is there any other possible way that I can try? what about a small amount of human laxative, etc? What medicines have been prescribed for frogs from the vets with this, and is it over the counter? thanks again |

Second, you can try feeding him a small amount of olive, mineral or cod oil If he’s midly constipated one of these two things should get him *moving* If he still hasn’t used the bathroom, a trip to the vet is in order because it may be something other than impaction like internal parasites. Hope froggy gets to feeling better soon. Please give us an update when you can _Med (Diane) |
