i have my 3 garters(2 adult,1 juvie) in a 20 gallon long.i had to go to canada for winter break so dad had to take care of the animals. i told him to feed the garters a few minnows once a week although i feed them 3 times a week(he’s scared of snakes). when i got home the first thing i did was check on the garters.one of them that has a reddish color got out. i thought "i’ll search later after i feed all the other animals". so i went up to the chemeleon’s cage to feed it and saw the garter poking it’s head out of some leaves in there! it was hilarious! i should have taken a pic :( the chameleon was calm though.the next time it got out was when i accidentally left a crack of the cage open. he somehow got out so i searched the room for days but never found it until 2 weeks later(which was yesterday) i found him curled up on a heating lamp. .the next day i also found the corn snake but it was only out for an hour. :)
