 Great Idea, but have a flaw.

So I’m making a tank for a garter snake. I’m going to have a pond section, so I’ll be using a intank filter. The problem is, the wire that comes out of the filter and into the outlit, will have to go from inside the tank to the outlit(obviously)... So, the wire will have to get out of the tank, how would I go about doing this? I couldn’t just put it under the screen because that would make escaping possible.

I was thinking about cutting a hole in the screen, but then how would I take the screen off without disturbing (knocking over...) the filter? Any ideas? Help appreciated

im pretty sure yea, but im not a genius XD best try on a small piece of glass with lots of protection.. =| but im prettier sure..how else would ppl do it :P
