does anybody no were a good place to look would be

You have some nice garter species in your area. Here’s the list I found:
T. nigriceps—black-headed snake
Thamnophis cyrtopsis—black-necked garter snake
T. elegans—wandering garter snake
T. marcianus—checkered garter snake
T. proximus—western ribbon snake
T. radix—plains garter snake
T. sirtalis—red-sided and Texas garter snakes
I especially like the black-necked garters. They are beautiful. You want to go out on a sunny day....somewhere that is semi wooded and has a small (or large) water source. You can look under old boards, in old, fallen trees, or on top of rocks where you might catch a few sunning themselves. Just keep an eye out and I’m sure you’ll find them. Good luck!

thanks ill have to do that. i have a big pond in my area and a creek.
and in oklahoma there is lots of little grey snakes every. they are the most common snake i would say. do you know the name of this snake?

If it’s a garter I’d have to say it’s the wandering garter. Not sure though. You can google images of the snake names I gave you. Maybe you’ll find it there.
