In the wild - under logs, in wood piles (like stakes of firewood), rock walls, brush piles - places that aren’t disturbed much. In the summer, they come out in the evening, when the weather is cooler then the middle of the day. Pet stores - most pet stores don’t sell garters...I don’t know of any. Here is my garter:
