Hatchling choking ??? :(:( Just had a pair of babies hatch the last 2 days, but 1 had a mouthful of vermiculite wen i took them from the incubator and i managed to get what i could see out. but today i noticed its mouth still wasn’t shutting fully and sat for a gd while with tweezers tryin to fish a load or vermiculaite and what was left of his 1st shed out of his throat. But he still seems to not be breathing like the other and sometimes i notice the 1 heaving breath (very noticeable in his sides which contract away in). Has anyone else had anything like this? I’ve got as much out as i possibly can with the tweezerz is there anything else I can do or just hope its OK??? Pretty upsetting to see a baby born then possibly die so early :(

Hatchling choking ??? :(:( theres really not much you can do.. you can try misting them really good so he starts drinking or licking warter off himself and hopefully that will help work everything down that may be in his throat....
i know its hard since theyre so little and theres not much you can do.... i had baby leo pass a week or 2 after it hatched and i still dont know why he didnt make it.... it really sucks but it happens and its all part of life and with breeding you just gotta deal with the fact not all the babies are gonna make it
