It’s possible that he’s shed - eaten it - and done so quickly enough that you never even knew he shed at all. Outside of some truly bizarre case - that’s exactly what’s happened. So, as long as you don’t notice shriveled up shed stuck on his toes, tail, or body - everything is fine, and he’s just doing it without allowing you to watch :) |

I have three crestie kids. Got them in January. I’ve witnessed two w/ partial sheds, and I’ve found the tip of a tail portion of shed in the cage - since I’ve owned them. That’s IT. And, believe it or not - I can’t always tell a huge color difference in them before or after. Mine change so much from day to night in their color, that I really don’t notice a huge difference during shedding time. And, you may have missed some older threads here about "they can shed and you probably will never know it" - but it’s the case. They DO eat their sheds. And yours has (barring some true freak of nature) - shed. At some point in the night (I guess?) you sleep. And, sometimes (again, I guess) - you leave home? So, it can happen - regardless of the fact that you’re checking. If you don’t see any signs of stuck shed - and if your crestie is able to climb with no trouble - he’s shed. |
