Hatching eggs
My girlfriend has a mating pair of cresties and we just got our first couple of eggs. I’ve removed the eggs and placed them in a container of water and vermiculite as instructed. My question is should the eggs be burried? And if so how deep? She layed 2 eggs and this is our first attempt at hatching them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hatching eggs I use perilite, but vermiculite is good to. Dont bury the eggs, just set them on top of the moistened vermiculite. Then put a cover over the eggs with a few holes punched in it (i use siran rap) but if you are using tupperware you could use the top to that) the eggs need temps above 72 so you probably wont need an incubator unless your house is really cold.

Hatching eggs
ok thanks, I have them in a small plastic cage. You know like for small pets. It’s got the ventilated top. Do you think it is too ventilated? I’ll cover it with saran wrap i guess. Well thanks for the input.
