 Petco is annoying..
uggh! im trying to get a crestie from petco but they keep telling me different dates. evertime i ask or go there, they say that they are out of stock and tell me a LATER DATE!! GEEZ!! soo anyway, can u please tell me any reliable pet store/breeder in los angeles, california? thanxs!

id look up shows in your area personally. Youll get a much bigger selection and the prices will be a lot cheaper, plus you know theyll be healthy if you buy from a breeder.

they are an awesome breeder in cali. their website is not finished yet so you will have to contact David or Tamara through email. their email addresses are in the contact page
i got Zazu from them and he is awesome.
the first pic is one they sent me in an email so i could see what he looked like and the rest i took myself.

hey!! i ended up finding a female crestie for $60 at this small pet store. i think its a harlequin/tiger mix. well anyway, it is pretty fat and it was kept with a large male. ( it was grey and had yellow spots.. unknown orgin! ) is there a possibility its pregnant?? the guy said they had the pair for a couple months now.. so..? thanx

Set her up fast and put in a lay box just in case, and also save some money up and put it aside in case she lays, so you can buy anything needed... p.s. post some pics of the setup and her!!

Guido1090~ we have siblings! 2 of my babies are from the same clutch at that one, they are from Tamara. I just drove out there Sunday and picked up a breeder loan from her. She is great to work with, she is even the one doing my web page. =)
Sorry! I did not mean to hijack!
I want to see pictures as well. Make sure you get a fecal done on her. I don’t want to scare you but one of the signs of problems is a large stomach and skinny limbs. Post pictures.

Well hes not in Cali but i live in New England and I got my gorgeous gecko from theis fabulous breeder. He lives in New Mexico. Go onto sundialreptile.com
They have beautiful and healthy geckos! I highly reccomend getting your crestie from here

it is very possible that she is gravid [reptile form of pregnant]. does she do well with handling? if so i would hold her in such a way that you can gently feel her stomach, you can usually feel, and sometimes see the eggs in the stomach. i would try that out especially if she was housed with a male it seems like a real possibility, and if she is big i would say she is close to laying as well, so definitely set up a lay box [a box/Tupperware container filled with substrate like peat moss and a hole cut out in the lid big enough for her to get into it, move around, and make a "nest"] and then when they are layed you will want to set up an "incubator" which can be done with hatchrite and another tupperware container. you want to make sure that the incubator is air tight, and then you open the box once a week to let fresh air come in for a few seconds...
ok sorry i am jumping a little ahead so i am going to stop there!
definitely post some pictures though!

i went to petco the other day to look at one, and someone was lookign at it with me and they asked how big they got, and he said "oh this is about as big as they get" but the thign was probably not even 5 inches long, and looked like he was 5 months old. idk. i dont get why people who work in the reptile areas arent as educated becuase idk, its just frustrating.

yeah i cant tell you how many times iv seen guys at petsmart and petco they dont what they are talking about i knew more about the animals then the ppl selling them and im only about 14 some of these occasions i was 10 (although i did read about reptiles since i was in kindergarden)
