yes he is probably shedding. mist him an extra bit tonight and check him in the morning to see if he has his colors back or not. he most likely will shed over night.

also you can sometimes tell that they are getting ready to shed if they cant climb the glass because their toes have loose shed on them so they are not sticky enough.

Your crestie is shedding! leave him be during this time. I have one named Semor. What I heard is they are supposed to eat the shedded skin. It has nutritous things in it. If they aren’t getting enough moisture they might have trouble shedding then you can carefully peel the skin off. Be VERY careful. Make sure he/she is misted twice a day and has a shallow water dish at all times. If the skin gets wrapped around a limb it could cause the limb to fall off. This would not be good

as long as the humidity is right he should have no problem. just make sure the humidity is high so it comes off.

they do eat it so you will not see skin in the cage at all.

DO NOT PEEL THE SKIN OF. this could do more harm to the gecko than good. if the skin does not come off post about it and people who have had that happen can help you there. i think you just put it in a small container with some water in the bottom or wet paper towels for them to soak in. and that will loosen the shed. if you do not take care of it the shed could not come off the toes and cause them to fall off. but it should all be fine as long as he is humid enough.

just mist him.

best of luck,

its almost definitely shedding! the first mine shed i freaked out. it was late at nite, and a guest was over. i was lucky she liked reptiles cuz we made it very humid and put at wet paper towels and we just watched the gecko rub and eat off its skin! lol. it was squeaking in frustration cuz it cudnt get the skin off its chin!
