they need height so i would say whichever is taller. also post the dimensions of the tanks and pics if you can. we may be able to help you make the horizontal one work better.

thank you!

that cage should be great probably for more than a few months, it is about the size of a ten gallon i think. just keep in mind that if you think the little one looks cramped, it probably is, and all should be well! lol, i have noticed that the smaller the are, the slower they seem to grow, and then as soon as it is time to move them out of the ten gallon and into a twenty, they seem to grow SO FAST! i’m sure it has something to do with "puberty" but it is just so amazing!

do you mean hand feeding like, just letting them eat while in your hand [which i am assuming, but we all know what assume means right? lol, at least what our grandmothers might tell us it means!] or more like "force" feeding/giving medication?

if it is the first one, just keep in mind that since your little one is only around 8g’s, it isn’t going to eat very much, and it is very much like an add child and will run all over the place. but i would have to food ready in a water bottle cap before you get him/her out, and then let it do the hand walk thing until it settles down a little bit, and when it is sitting still for a second, just lift the food up to his/her mouth, possibly even put a little bit on the nose, and when it licks it of, kind of put the food close again so it gets a bit of a mouth full, but don’t poor it down the throat or anything, lol, just close enough so that when he licks it off the nose his toungue also touches the food in the cap, and s/he should do the rest... i hope this helps!

 Help on tanks

oh! hahaha see what i mean, that darn assume word completely made an a** out of me!

i havent ever fed insects my hand, i just throw the crickets in the cage with them, but there is a breeder who said he had to take one of the back legs and gently pull it [NOT OFF] but pull it until a small bead of liquid came out, let the cresty lick that bead of liqued and then they would go crazey over crickets after that! i hope that helps!!!!

 Help on tanks

what i do is i have a glass mason jar in my tank. the crestie can climb it but the crickets cant. i put the crickets in that and zazu climbs in it and eats them then climbs out when he is done. watch your gecko the first time to make sure he can get in and out. zazu had trouble the first time so i buried it a bit in the dirt and put it on an angle so he can access it better. it seems to work good for the crickets.

i have been thinking about trying that again. i havent tried the mason jars but i think that would work out much better than a tall cup that can easily tip over!
