 Bed a beast stuff

when i put it in the cage should it be bone dry or a little moist? please answer quickly please :)

heres what ya do.

put the brick in a gallon of hot water for about an hour.
then when you take it out it should be all expanded. take clumps of it in your hands and squeeze as hard as you can. that will get any excess water out. then put it in the cage.

in short. yes it should be moist when you put it in. when it gets bone dry it gets dusty and messy. it is awesome stuff to keep humidity up.

what guido said, then just dry out the extra and put it in a ziplock bag or two, [so it won’t mold] and re-moisten it when you need to use the "left overs"!

I bought all my supplies for the gecko, cost me all about 237 dollars, my mom was pissed at me but she was like "well, its your money, but i bet this is all gonna be in our garage sale next year." i said NO ITS NOT! hahah, but yeah i got the exo terra 18 18 18 for 89 bucks, and then 2 plants, 2 vines 1 hanging vine and then one more tall platn and a log and the substrate and food and stuff. i cant wait!
i burned the log at 310 degrees for 30 minutes, bleached stuff and then soaked it in my bathtub for a few hours and then rinsed it one more time and now i just have to get the geck on friday! Yay :)

thats a good price for the cage. i payed 120 for my 18x18x24 exo terra. it is my display cage with my baby in it. the rest of the ones i get will be going in rubbermaid bins. i cant afford to get a display cage for all of them.

it all sounds good. take pics and post them once you have it finished
