put the brick in a gallon of hot water for about an hour. then when you take it out it should be all expanded. take clumps of it in your hands and squeeze as hard as you can. that will get any excess water out. then put it in the cage. in short. yes it should be moist when you put it in. when it gets bone dry it gets dusty and messy. it is awesome stuff to keep humidity up. |

i burned the log at 310 degrees for 30 minutes, bleached stuff and then soaked it in my bathtub for a few hours and then rinsed it one more time and now i just have to get the geck on friday! Yay :) |
