Baby crestie.. food question Well ive had my two guys a week now, but there food/water dish is on the bottom of the cage but they hardly come off the glass/vines/plants and i doubt they touched there food within that week because i was on spring break pretty much staying up half the night and being there so close to my bed i was watching them alot, but a few times id touch there nose with a tab of the food sometimes they’d lick it other times if i get my finger to close they’d hop away, i just want to know if they’ll start noticing there food down there?

Baby crestie.. food question It’s good to offer a couple crickets daily to baby cresteds. Make sure you get small enough crickets, though. No larger than the width of space between their eyes.
The hatchlings see the movement and snatch up the crickets. I also suggest putting only a very thin layer of food in the dish so you can see each day if they’ve licked at it.

Baby crestie.. food question hey, i just wanted to let you know that during the first few weeks, they will not eat much most likely because they are still getting used to their surroundings. the first week or so they are a bit disoriented and just trying to get used to their new home and owner. but they have an impeccable since of smell and are able to find both food and water with it. i would not be too worried about them. a healthy gecko will not let it’s self starve at all. they just may not have much of an appetite at the moment.
