I am making a website
so far here are the pictures that i can think of, that i will not be able to get because i either do not have that type of cage, or that particular morph... i have seen people on here say that they use a twenty gallon long, but turned up on it’s side, and i would love to get a picture of that up there so that people know they can do it, and what it would look like if they did. i also need pictures of terrariums that have nesting boxes, most of my terrariums are naturalistic, so i have never set up a nesting box that was actually used. Really though i would be interested in any type of enclosure picture that anyone was willing to send to me. The other thing that i am going to need is pictures of different morphs, i have a Reverse pinstripe, a yelow flame, a red, and a harly, but i need pictures of prety much every other morph as well as some extras of the morphs that i do have so that there are a few examples of what they can look like. if it is at all possible, i would also love to get pictures of fired up/not fired up. as well as color change from hatchling to adult if any one has pictures like that. and the last thing that i can think of are pictures of any sick animals, or gravid females. i have my girl Izzey who had really bad MBD, but she is kind of a worst case scenario of what can happen when one gets it, well without death, so i would like to get some pics of kinked tails, floppy tail, etc... i promise that i am not a nut! i am just trying to get this thing up an running, and i want it to be as informative as possible! here is the website if you want to take a look at it. i have started on the caging and feeding section, but at the moment it is really just an introductory page. here is the website, just remember to take out the spaces. http://www.freewebs .com/alliescresties/index .htm |

I was going to send you thin in a PM like you asked BUT the pictures would not load there? Some of the pictures have my web page addie on them. My name is Sarah. =) Nest box (inside a natural viv. I place sliver dollar sized and bigger rocks all around the ground so they do not lay were I don’t want them to.
What can happen when a gecko gets a tail bit when they have a mild case of MBD. The picture was taken after the MBD had been taken care of but the kink is still there.
This gecko was a "rescue" most of her are hand/arm had to be amputated do to an escape and her getting on a heat light for anther reptile tank. Funny thing is she is one of my BEST cricket hunters and climbs just as well as the rest of them. =)
Here is an orange tiger to add to you morph pictures and also him fired up and down.
PM or post here and let me know if you want more gecko pictures..I have tons. Let me know what you still need. Tank pictures morphs and or other. i’m not sure if i am going to be selling on it or not, right now i am just trying to get all of the information down... it is taking alot longer than i thought it would! i was up til 5 am last night just trying to figure out how everything works! but any ways, i only want to sell locally at the moment because just thinking about shipping hatchlings gives me a knot in my stomach! hahahaha, but i only have one breeder couple [hoping to start up two more in june, but just waiting til i move into my new apt, so that i am not transporting eggs in an hour and a half drive!] so i may put up pictures of what i have available, but they will only be available in my area if i do... any morphs would be great! i mainly have yellows [with one red and one partial pinner] so really just looking for all colors and morphs! That is weird that the pictures don’t work in PM’s! Thank you again! Allie |

i don’t really know anything about the other Rhacs but mainly because i only have Cresties, so i think i am going to stick with just them for now. lol, i really want to get a leachie though! they are SO COOL! i think my boyfriend would have me committed though, he thinks that my cresties are cool, but he thinks that i am way to crazy about them! yeah the millis and tank pics would be cool too. that is one of my homework projects i am about to start . it is an instruction manual on how to create a naturalistic terrarium, so i think i am going to do something similar with different types of tanks, and put that up there as well, with a few examples in each section. thank you for helping me out, i really appreciate it! i wasn’t sure how i was going to get alot of this stuff going. |

the vine in your cage looks like a vine my mom grows all over the house, i don’t know the scientific name for it, but i think that it is sometimes called devils ivy... i will have to ask her what the name is. oh and guido, how big is the one vine you have right now, if it is big enough you can always cut a little portion of it off and let it root in some water. i don’t remember how long it takes these things (if it is what i am thinking of) to root, but then you would have two plants! :) would you mind trying to post another pic of it though? i am glad that the link worked!!!! that is awesome, i will put a link next to all of your pictures that i use. and thank you for your contributions! it is helping alot even though i haven’t done much with it all yet! but hey, at least i am having fun with it all! |

my mom actually likes them now. she had to take care of them for a week while i was on vacation in december, and she got to whiteness my first two eggs hatch, and put them in their tank so she got over her fear of them pretty quickly while having to put her hand all the way into each cage to feed them and actually hold the hatchlings to put them in their cage. "but they were small so they werent as scary!" she was like "they just left me alone! i always see them run up to your hand and i was terrified that they would jump on my hand and run up my arm like they do with you, and that i wouldn’t be able to catch them, but it is like they knew!!!!! and saphron, bless her heart! she waited til you got home to lay her eggs!!! i think she knew that i wouldn’t find them!!!" i was like "hahahahaha! mom, they don’t know you. they don’t recognize your *scent*, so you are a stranger. they were probably just as scared of you as you were of them!" it was SO FUNNY! now she will come in to *mist* my cages occasionally during the day, but i know she just wants to see them because she knows that i only mist once in the morning and once at night. Parents crack me up! |

My mom is strange. She likes the snakes and the tarantulas better than the geckos. She will hold them but not the geckos. When she comes over I try and get her to hold a gecko and she just looks at me like I am out of my mind. But she will ask after Gaia (my Ball Python) when she calls me or she will want me to pull her out of her tank when she is over. My dad wont come into my house because of the snakes. He (to this day) dues not know that I had reptiles in his house, ever. Its better for him that way I think. =) One time he asked my how I I got so many reptiles so quickly after I moved out. My mom and I giggled a bit then I told them not all of them were mine and I was watching some of them for a friend while he was out of town. The truth was I had one Leopard gecko at my house that was not mine at the time, thats all. =) OUt of all the creepy crawlys (as my dad calls them) I would have to say the only kind I don’t like are scorpions. I can feed them and such but ask me to hold one and I draw the line. I don’t know why but it is the way it is. My Husband wants to get one, I think its just to bug me. =)~ TTFN |

Depending on what form of paganism (or non bible religions) you are looking at from most (if not all) look at reptiles as symbols of life, luck, wisdom, healing or fertility. The only other religion that I can think of who had some negative aspect of reptiles was the Ancient Egypt. Set, Sekhmet, Ammut and a few others were considered *evil deities* and each had symbols that had to do with reptiles but in that same religion deities of love and wisdom also had links to or symbols with reptiles and snakes. Sorry, I go off sometimes. I like talking about this sort of thing as it interests me a great deal. TTFN Sarah |

i have been super busy setting up my ten gallon for the "how to" project i have due on tuesday. you wouldn’t believe how difficult it is to find someone at a nursery who actually knows anything about plants!!! i went to home depot with my list of plants that i knew were safe and could only find one item on the list, and no one there could tell me if any of the plants they had, had any toxicity to them. then i went to a local nursery, and had the exact same issue, finally when i went to the last nursery that wasn’t thirty minutes away i actually got to be helped by the owner, and she was very knowledgeable! i was going to buy an elephants ear plant, and we were talking and i told her what it was all for, i had my list out so she was curious, and she pointed me to tons of plants, told me to go with two types of elephants ears because they are dwarfs so the leaves won’t end up being like 3ft wide when they are adults, they also grow slowly, just a ton of stuff! hahaha, i should have been taking notes! lol, she even gave me some free stuff because she thought that what i was doing was so cool, she was awesome! i will have to take her pictures of the tank, and let her know what my grade was sometime next week. i will definitely go to the little ma and pa places from now on!!!! anyways, so i have not done anything with the website today, or yesterday either i think... i was in school, and had examns so i am a bit boggled in the brain right now, but i am hopefully going to have the "how to" thing up there by tuesday evening. i will post a pic of the finished product when i get everything up loaded to photobucket, my internet is just being REALLY SLOW right now! |

that is funny, jewish and catholic? man that had to be TOUGH! my dad was raised catholic, and my mom was raised atheist (my g-ma is a biologist, she just doesn’t like religion for some reason.) lol, my mom was actually wiccan until i was about eight, then both my parents converted to baptism! hahaha! that was a little confusing to me, i mean i didn’t know exactly what she was doing or anything until i got older and read up on it. But yeah! i am the same way when it comes to things like this. i have read up on almost any book about religion that i could find, the indigenous (tribal) religions particularly interest me alot! and what you were saying about evil snake gods in egypt, there is one in africa (i think) as well, his name is sint holio (sp?) really weird stuff man... just bizarre stuff going on with that guy. (he is from a tribal religion) you should look him up. i had a dream about a weird snake a few years before i read about him, and when i did i swear that the drawings the children in the tribe made of him were of the snake that was in my dream because it wasn’t a real snake, at least not one that i have ever seen... oh it creeps me out just to think about it, what i read was about a tribe in africa i am pretty sure, anyways, so this snake god will only appear to children, and he will usually come to them in their dreams, and whenever he did this every child in the village would have the exact same nightmare. i don’t remember what the dream was, but he also controlled the rain, and this is a tribe that is around right now probably. i only read this about five or six years ago, and it was a recent "report of progress" or something like that. i think that the people who were writing about it were missionaries or something. but he sounds like a terrifying deity to me. i think i would be afraid of possibly even hate all snakes if sint holio was my deity! ok i’m done with him, that just made me think of it. any ways! there is also another tribal religion who worships the spider, it is really interesting. it goes on about how the spider is the mother of all things, that she spins the web of life and we are all but strands in the web, lol it is a really cool perspective, and i can definitely see why they have it, they are pretty and so are their webs, but i am still terrified of spiders!!!! i don’t hate them or anything (like how some people hate snakes) i just have a completely irrational fear of them! i think it is because i saw arachnophobia and IT when i was little, and then i saw a tarantula in my back yard, and it reared up on it’s back leggs and started running at me, and also a few months later i stepped on a spider who unknown to me had an egg sack on her back, and thousands of babies started crawling up my leg  and i have never been the same since! lol, i was around first or second grade i think, maybe younger... lol, but i can’t go near even the tiniest spider without freaking out! oh and it is bad right now because i live in a newly developed area, and there are HUGE spiders out because of the storms we’ve been having. i am just seeing them everywhere!

Thats creepy about that snake god. I’m not really into the tribal gods my self but I think I will look into that one. Interesting that your mom was Wiccan and became a Baptist. I’m pagan myself. Also theres Cihuacoatl an Aztec goddess of fertility, her name means "Snake Woman". =) |

yeah, he was creepy looking, like he kind of looked like one of those horned snakes, but the whole top of his head was made out of some sort of bone plate on top of his skull with tons of horns sticking out instead of just two and all of them were razor sharp (in my dream) but i don’t remember what my google search was, it was something like horned snake god or demon... anyways, i think that it is kind of weird about my parents too... i mean a wiccan and a catholic being together i can understand because they are both religions that really thrive off of ritual and structure (and it just seems like the two go together... don’t ask me what i mean by that, because i don’t think i could put it into words, but it just does...) but to go from such structured religions to one that is hardly structured at all is kind of strange to me. i am pagan as well. lol, that is funny about the "snake woman" goddess! it kind of makes me think of people who give abnormal names, like tadita... my friend named her spider that, and it means something like little running one... i think names like that are descriptive are cool... lol, i guess that is why most of my guys have their names! hahaha they are all descriptive, except for izzey! (rusty, saphron, moonbeam, ruby, spaz... hahahahahaha!) |
