Too dry?? 
For those of you who use vermiculite as the substrate in the egg container. When do you know when to add water? I got eggs about 2 or 3 weeks ago and the vermiculite still seems moist and fine but when it starts to get dry, im just wondering what would be the best way about going about and adding water to it?

I weigh the container when the eggs are in it and the water is correct. I put the weight on a piece of tape in the container so I remember what it was. Every week or so I weight the container and add water so the weight goes back up to the weight written on the container. Hope that helps a little.

I use a spray bottle to moisten the substrate thoroughly, without spraying the egg.
Make sure to use distilled water if you can.
