Doing it right? Prepare yourself for heartache...(big read)

This is the most embarrassing thing in the world for me...this is a bit of a rant.
Sigh.
Ok...this is my boyfriend’s poor little crestie, Pizza...this is just sick but she is OVER A YEAR OLD. Her birthday is May 4th (I was the only one who remembered her hatch day lol) got her when she was about a month old. She is my boyfriend’s first gecko. He’s got a leo and an alli lizard that are well. He wanted a gecko after I got mine because he was very interested and loves animals.
Of course I did all of his research for him (apparently a mistake), told him what to do and expected him to do it...weeell he had to learn the hard way just how important some things are. His poor little alli already suffered from MH, but is better now. Saw the vet, got the shots, etc. I try to stay over here and not go over there because I assume he’s doing things right, ya know. I’m the one who pointed out his alli lizard need to go to the vet...anyway...I went over there and thought I’d say hi to everybody. Ended in a big fight and some tears...
Well poor little Pizza’s got a slight case of MBD I can see in her jaw. I’ve felt her jaw and legs, and they’re pretty strong now. But she’s TINY for her age and it makes me sick to my stomach...when she was really little she wouldn’t eat crickets. She’s always been fed CGD, and we tried pin heads couple times a week when she was a baby for extra protein and fat to help her grow but she wouldn’t eat them. Well now she’s eating them, and I’ve got my boyfriend dusting them. She loves them and still eats her CGD every day...she’s slowly been growing. I decided to post this now to make sure there isn’t anything else we can give her. I’m very doubtful she’ll ever be full grown. And because of that I’m sure she won’t live as long as she should which kills me.
I love my boyfriend and I’m glad he knows better now...it’s very unfortunate that it had to happen but he’s fully aware of what he’s done, feels VERY bad about it (apologizes to me everyday and since he doesn’t come on RZ I’ll admit he’s called me crying because he feels so bad dozens of times. No joke. He’s very emotional lol), and is working much harder. I sat him down and made him watch Animal Cops for a couple of days to show him how important animals are and that they’re not just easy...he got it...he also got plenty of hands on experience caring for my pets, as well as I went to his house to help with his.
His leo is in EXCELLENT condition (however he did live with me for a little while lol) and my boyfriend feels very confident he can care for him and the alli lizard. He has agreed that it might be best if I take Pizza from him because I am more hands on with my animals and she’s going to need lots of close attention etc, but if not, he’s willing to put in all the work he needs to for her to be healthy and happy. He does love her very much. My dad just isn’t sure if he’s ready to put up the money yet in case she needs to go to the vet (work contract problems) which I completely understand after the thousands of dollars he’s put out over the last year...ehehe...Well...
Here’s little tiny Pizza. Isn’t she so sad =( Well she’s happy but she’s sad to look at considering her age. It breaks my little heart =’( I never want to see a crestie like this ever again.

I’ll need to weigh her once I get my scale (taking too long) but she can’t be more than 13 grams I’m guessing...but then again I’m terrible with estimations. But I know for a fact she’s nowhere near the size she should be...I’ve never owned a crestie but I’ve been around a bunch and have done the research (for my boyfriend =P)
Comments (be nice please, I know my other is a bit of an idiot but he’s on the right track), advice, questions all very welcome. I want this little girl to be happy. And never again will I assume I can trust my boyfriend...I will be checking on his pets regularly...that’s just the kind of nice person I am lol.
I’m wondering if there are other food items that might aid her as far as bone development like phoenix worms? Just a thought. I never wanted her to eat live foods that much but the crickets really seem to be helping her grow. She eats about 10 a week. I’m wondering if that’s a problem even though she’s still eating CGD?

well she is very skinny and her jaw is a little messed up.(the last pic makes her look like a bulldog) maybe give her 15 or 20 crickets a week.

Mmk we’ll offer some more foods. Does anyone know if Phoenix worms are alright, though?

That’s the part in the mouth right?
I’m not sure, I’ll have to look. I’m scared to open her mouth though. Even though he jaw is stronger it’s still a little scary....

IMO don’t mess with her jaw for now. I have seen cresties that are over a year old and 4-6 grams, no joke. And they have done fine once they were given more time and food. I would get a ubv 2.0 and put it on her tank at least a few hours a day for the next few months. I have been able to turn bad cases of MBD around with just the addition of the light. Also phoenix worms do great w/ cresties if you an get them to eat them. Make sure you get Med sized ones or bigger. Wax worms are a bad idea because, if they will eat them, they may be put off there other food and only want the wax worms. Wax worms are about what a snickers bar is to a human, 99% stuff you don’t need but they taste great. ;)
Good luck and please feel free to email me with any questions. I’m not on here much any more so thats the best way to get a hold of me.

Thanks =)
That made me feel way better. Sort of...
I couldn’t get her jaw open but I didn’t try very hard. I’ll let it be.
We got her a 1.0 UVB bulb a few weeks ago and have been keeping it on all day.
I’m definitely going to get some phoenix worms then. I’m sure my geckos wouldn’t mind having some to snack on too =)
I hope she eats them! She’s such a cute little girl =)

Hopefully I’ll have some nice updated pictures in the months to come. I’d love to see her fill out more and hopefully get that big jaw of hers a bit more on the normal side.
Thank you all SO much!

Also it maybe best to get a fecal test done...she looks oddly skinny. I have noticed that there is a different look to skinny "not eating" and skinny "because of parasites". I’d say she has parasites from the look.

Cute gecko, anyways, I would try Pheonix worms, and a waxworm every week or 2 weeks. You could also try fruit flavored baby food which could get her weight up, i assume. don’t cancel the CGD out completely, alternate with the baby food. I hope she gets better!
