no offense sam but i think you should really not rush in to this.

you keep making posts about how your gecko died, or your selling your gecko, or your buying another gecko. you really need to just pay attention to the crested gecko that you have. reptiles are not disposable pets, most live well over 10 years.

sorry if i sound harsh but its the truth. you need to pay attention to the gecko you have.

and people dont know how long cresties can live for. they have not been kept in captivity long enough to know. people say 15-20 years but they haven’t been in captivity for 15 years yet.

i have all the info on their history in the book i have but i dont feel like going upstairs to get it right now, ill get it later.

this is what i remember from reading it, they were thought to be extinct for a long time and in 1994 they were found again and introduced to the reptile industry.

ill find the book i have some other time and check for the rest of the info.

i have read the same. they were thought to b extinct for ’bout a hundred years. the scientific community recognized them in 1994. there r quite a few new geckos w/o their names right now. amazing that at this day we r still finding new animals.
