go research and come back and tell us what you know, then we will fill in the blanks. there are many care sheets online and some really great books that you can probably find at a library. the best book is called "Rhacodactylus, the complete guide to their selection and care" it is written by Philippe de Vosjoli, Frank Fast, and Allen Repashy.

keep in mind that many people say they live 15-20 years in captivity but this has not been proven, they have only been in the reptile industry for 14 years. they could live well over 20 years, i dont think anyone really knows. make sure you are ready for an animal that requires you to take care of it every day for the next 15+ years.

i have a reptile club at my school and ms. peterson says i need a 10 gallon for a crested gecko but many care sheets that say 20 gallon tank. she has been around and been bitten by the 14 speicies of reptiles at our school for 20 years bu care sheets come from those who spend more attention to cresties so im in a lttle fickle i hope you can answer my question.the thing im trying to say is what size tank do i need?

you need minimum of a 20 gallon tall for an adult crested gecko. height is more important than lots of floor space for them because they like to climb.

if you cant get a 20 gallon tall then you can get a normal 20 and put it on its end to make it taller.
