Fruit Flies Hi I am getting fruit flies in my cages. I have had my geckos for almost two years and never had this happen. Has this happened to anyone else?

Fruit Flies You might have to change your bedding. After a while ( about 3-4 weeks ) the bedding will begin to dry out and if you give it a chance grow mould. Or if you left any babyfood or banana you were feeding it in the cage it would attract them. But try changing the bedding and see if it improves.

Fruit Flies i had that issue before.. there are traps you can make for them also.. ive found some of the small cups betta fish come in that have the top with a funnel type opening work really well to make these traps. or smaller soda/water bottles with their tops cut off flipped and put in place so it makes a funnel work too.. but we put some of the diet or fruit it in the bottom of the cup and put it in or near the cages with the fruit fly problem the flies fly in and are too stupid to get out they lay their larva in there and not in the cages.. when the cup gets nasty with dead flies and larva we plugg the opening with a wadd of papertowel or something and either throw it in the trash or wash it out outside so we can re use it and after a week or 2 using the traps and cleaning the cages no more fruit flies
