she may have dropped it cuz she got spooked by something.. a while ago one of my fems i had spazzed cuz i walked by her cage and she wasnt expecting it.. though she had already dropped her tail before i got her.

after dropping her tail she may have eaten it.. i had that happen too a while ago... it was kinda weird..

just be sure to keep the wound clean and the cage clean and she should be fine

adults yes you can babies you dont want to as they are more easily overwhelmed by the big space and dont tend to do well in them with finding food to eat

my crestie droped her tail about a month ago and like the other person said its a normal thing for them to do as a defence in the wild and mine tried to eat hers because the tail will be moveing for at least an hour cause the nurves so i got rid of it but keep the tank clean and dont handle her for about 2 weeks or it will infect

not true... as long as you make sure to wash your hands or use a hand sanatiser before and after you handle her like ur suppose to you dont have to worry too much about it getting infected if you handle her.. that and if you put neosporen or an antibiotic ointment on it make sure it doesnt have painkillers in it and that will also help keep risk of infection down

The only thing I would worry about with that tank is the stress caused by putting it on it’s side. The glass on the bottom of bigger fish tanks are made to handle the pressure and weight, but the side glass is a bit weaker.

as long as there is no water in the tanks they do fine on end because there is no water weight.. i have a 125 gallon thats not used atm thats been stored in my garage on end for about a year now and its doing just fine

yes i agree that the tanks can be stored or put on there sides.....we have a ton of big aquariums and we store them on there sides as well....and one funny question how would you put water in it if its on its side? lol (scratches her head and wonders).......

Wow, that is a GREAT looking tank! I’m curious as to where you got the backing to that?

you glue glass on the bottem, of a specific hight, with silicon sealer.
