Crested geckos are territorial and cannibalistic. If there is not enough space, they will fight and the bigger one will keep the smaller one from eating anything. If there is too much of a size difference, the bigger crested will eat the smaller one. They are more lenient with their own kind than they would be with another type of reptile. Plus not all reptiles have the same needs and requirements, so it would be very hard to fulfill the needs of two totally different species. You may be able to put an adult gargoyle gecko or chahoua gecko with them, but only for a short time. They may wind up fighting enough to cause a lot of stress. If you really feel that you have to have another creature with your crested, i’d say you can safely keep with them African Giant Millipedes. Too big for the crested to eat, and a vegetarian that won’t try to eat your crested. For the most part, they can survive on greens, gecko poop, and left over CGD. |
