Glass aquarium vs screen cage which is better...what are the problems with both? i have a glass ten gallon tank with two babies in it and the temps at the hottest time of the day reach 83 and i have to put some ice in the tank and a cool wet paper towel on the lid to bring it down to 80-81...i no that a screen cage would help keep it cooler but would it get to cold than? and what about humidity? i spray the tank three times a day so would i need not worry about the humidity in a screen cage as long as i keep spraying three times a day? any ideas or suggestions would help alot.....

Glass aquarium vs screen cage Never mind i figured it out here is a pic i just built a lid that fits really snug around the tank so they cant get out and i guess i will see if it circulates the air more in their tank so it stays at the right temps

Glass aquarium vs screen cage Its gonna be different depending on where you live. For me, I need a glass cage to keep the humidity high. But if you have a thermometer and hygrometer and your temps are fine then either will work.

Glass aquarium vs screen cage The problem would be that spraying it would just make it wet, not humid. The glass tank would turn the moisture into humidity where the screen tank might just dry it out. Like I said, if you hygrometer is measure enough humidity then you’re fine.
