How big is the cage you have them in? Its really hard to tell when cresties eat especially babies. What are you feeding them? Putting 2 bowls at top and bottom is good, as long as they are maintaining their weight they’re probably eating. I’ve had my crestie for a year and I’ve never actually seen him eat once.

they should be fine to eat small crickets, just don’t give them too many.

you may want to want for some more feedback on that as i’m not positive, but i’ve never heard anything saying you shouldn’t

In my opinion, a 10 gallon is way too big for such young geckos, as there is too much space which makes it hard for them to find food. I usually keep them in kritter carriers until they are about 15grams or so, just so the environment doesn’t overwhelm them.

Young geckos don’t eat that much, so it is generally not noticeable when they do eat. One way to see if the geckos are actually eating their food is to get a wide shallow dish and spread a thin layer of the diet on it. The next morning, if the are eating then you’ll see lick marks or missing bits of food. If they aren’t eating, the diet will looked untouched.

Not all young geckos are interested in crickets (some of mine didn’t get interested until they were at least 6 months old). It doesn’t hurt to throw one or two pinheads in there to see what they would do, just remember to take out any left over crickets in the morning (hungry crickets equals chewed on gecko).

Also, wat are you feeding them? What was your mom feeding them? Sometimes a change in diet can cause a gecko to not want to eat. But you shouldn’t worry too much if both of them are keeping weight

.i feed them repashy superfoods crested gecko mrp......which was purchased from a respectable breeder.....it is the same that my mother uses.....and i do notice the geckos are all over the tank they go down to the bottom and they go up top and i did find some poop in their cage when i cleaned it...i will try some pinheads and see how that goes....the tank is the same size my mother had them in....it is turned on its side so that it is taller.....i think that a ten gallon is good i dont feel comfortable going smaller there are lots of hides and i have vines around there food bowl on the bottom so they can feel covered when they eat and i have a bowl hanging at the top as well.....i think they may be eating and that im just not able to tell that is a good idea with putting a thin layer of food on the bowl i will try that as well.....

Put them in a critter keeper or even a rubbermaid shoe box is fine. That ten gallon is way too big for them right now. You will rarely see the babies eat they don’t eat much so it looks like they have not touched anything. Also get them on paper towel, this will help to see that they are pooping. Small crickets and or pinheads would be fine for them just a few here and there, focus more on their repashy mix. They need the smaller container to help them feel secure it also helps them to find their food more easily.

alright i will try the pin heads.......i do use paper towel as a substrate......and i dont know what to do for a smaller tank i dont have one handy....so i have all three sides of the cage covered to help make them feel more secure and lots of plants....im sure it feels smaller than a ten gallon to them.....

and all the care sheets i have read say a ten gallon for one baby so if anything they dont have enough room....although im not going to put them in a bigger tank..i have one but have to wait till there bigger....and as for poop i found some so i guess ill just keep feeding them by putting it on there noses twice a day and whatch there growth.....

a 10 gallon is fine, especially if you see them jumpy all over the place in it. I’ve had mine in a 10 gallon since he was 1 day old n___n
I’m sure that they are eating just fine, you just don’t notice it. They can eat crickets young just make sure they aren’t bigger then the space between their nostril and eye. I would just take them out seperately and feed them a few crickets a couple times a week. Keep giving them the CGD as well.
Cute names too :]

With most cresties they will take some time to learn to take the CGD. At first most of them will prefer crickets and baby foods. Keep in mind that they will not eat much though. This is the time that dusting your food is most important though. I kept mine in small critter keepers until they were 2 months old. Then I moved them to the racks. They will have trouble locating food in a cage bigger than 5 gallons at that size. You can try to offer food in a glass bowl so the crickets cant climb out. I used bottle caps for water dishes and the CGD I put on small pieces of plastic I cut down to 1" squares. They grow fairly quick, but still take about 4-6 months until they are big enough that you won’t feel like you’re gonna break them.
