Crested gecko temp, humidity, and shipping

Hi, I would like to know how to control the temperature and humidity of a crested gecko’s tank. I know the ranges, but what do I use if the humidity is too high or especially if the temperature is too high?
Also, I want to buy a cresie online, but my parents and myself say- a crested gecko (living animal) in an enclosed, dark box for a day bumping around and the box falling...
THANKS

not sure about keeping the humidity down, although i would think that most places don’t have high enough humidity to bother cresteds. if the humidity is too low you can either mist the cage thoroughly once or twice a day (its said the cage should dry out by the end of the day) or get a mister or dripper.

as for the heat, cooling down can really be the difficult part. personally i’ve been taping an ice pack to the outsides of my cresteds’ cages (just one wall). it doesn’t cool down the entire cage, but ive seen my cresteds move closer to them, so i assume they’re staying cool.

shipping isn’t too bad if its done right, but its definitely not as good as picking up the reptile. just ask the person you buy from who they ship with. breeders, especially reputable ones usually dont keep using a service if they’ve had problems with them in the past. also, dont buy from anyone who doesnt offer some form of health guarantee.
