 Crestie breeding size

I do not own a grams scale so I do not know if my two girls are 38 grams yet for breeding. Is it possible to go off of length? My two girls are both a little more than 5 inches. I need to save some money to go get a scale :|

no you cannot go by length
you could have a long crestie that is under weight
also be sure to check her calcium reserves too

if you cant afford a gram scale you should not be breeding it can be very expensive and time consuming and requires alot of research

i agree, if a scale is too much then you should rethink the breeding plans.

if the scales you’re looking to buy are the $30 and up type, try amazon.com by searching for pocket scale. while these are harder to use because of their small size, you can get an accurate enough reading. a scale is also important if you plan to breed so you can track the hatchlings’ weights.
if you shop amazon and lllreptile, you can get all the supplies you need at relatively cheap prices.
