Left over shed on toes I recently bought a small baby crested gecko from a pet store. The tank they had him in was very dry so I guess he had trouble getting all of his skin off from the last shed. He has a little bit on his feet and toes. I made him walk in water to hope to loosen it up but there is still some left, is it super important that I remove it immediately or will it just come off in the next shed since I have him in a much more humid environment now? I know with leopard geckos, you have to remove it pretty quickly or they could lose toes. Also, has anyone had any experiences where a male and female co-exist in the same tank but do not mate?

Left over shed on toes it should come off pretty soon, otherwise you could try putting your cresty in some water then gently pull it off, but i don’t know if it is the best thing to do.
and you can have a male and female live in the same cage without them mating, but it has something to do with temperatures.

Left over shed on toes The only way to get cresties not to mate is to keep the temp. in the low 60’s, but I wouldn’t do that.

Left over shed on toes Even keeping them at a low temperature like that won’t garentee they won’t mate. The only way to be sure that they won’t mate is to keep them in different cages.
