her name is Roxy and she is like 5 inches
the lady @ petsmart i got her from said she @ the pet store she ate crix
so a got a crik home,food,quencher ect.
then i put a crik in her tank and i was climbing all over her and she still didn’t eat it but do you think that the large crix are to big for her she is 5 in. long
this is URGENT she has refused her food for 2 days now!!!

your gecko is still acclimating to her new home give it some time and offer some apricot baby food if she eats that atleast you know shes getting some nutrients. And petsmart is not the best place to buy animals from, but to each their own.

Just keep putting food in there. Just try leaving her alone, also a vet check may be in order.

Maybe it may also be a caging problem, can you post pics????

well, it did come from a crappy petstore, so it might have an internal parasite, and since you dont know that reptiles need to be aclmated, youre probably not taking care of it right in the other areas where it counts, take it to a vet and then try to give it away to someone who knows what theyre doing, in the geckos best interest.

Woa calm down bleeding_sarcasm! Bad day?? he/she obviously cares for her gecko or else they wouldnt be on here asking about it. I live in the UK so i dont think we have petcos but ive read theyre like any petstore chain, generally crappy and clueless, but you do get some good ones. So just maybe this is a good one hey?

I dont have my gecko yet, still doing the research ( its been 3 months now lol ) but agree with the babyfood idea, Also, do you feed it in the cage or in a seperate feeding tank? Maybe you could try whichever one you’re not doing - ive read some geckos prefer it different ways! Also, when i get mine im planning to mash up the fruits myself instead of buying sugary, preservative loaded babyfood, so maybe you could try that- try it with lots of different (non-citrus) fruits like banana and mango and see what it likes! If its pretty tame, you could also try preparing the fruit while shes out, like set up a tray on the floor (so it cant jump off a high counter) and put her on it with the fruit, cut up the fruits and play about with it in different ways like mashing it etc and see if she gets entised?! Ive read theyre attracted to nice smelling foods so it might get her senses going a bit!

if u are cunfused i am dog/gecko/fishgirl my acoumt broke or somethin ummmmmmm i am pleased to tell you she is eating babyfood i am glad she gets something in her!!! she is the cutest gecko eva!!!! i handle her daily just so that she stays used to handling. ummmm and to bleeding_sarcasm i do LOVE her with all my heart and want her to be as happy and healthy as she can be!! and my petsmart is acctually very good with geckos they give the geckos big (20 gal) tanks with the perfect setup for each different type og gecko. she did eat when she was there just fine. she is eating like a normal gecko now and is happy and healthy which makes me very relieved and happy!!

leave it alone. put in some baby food, peach or banana is mines favorite. continue with a FEW crickets. keep up the humidity, keep the temp in the mid-high 70s. dont bother it. it took mine 2 weeks to start eating and i have had it for almost 3 years. what type of cage do you have. I wouldnt worry to take it to the vet immediately after a week or so, schedual an appointment. listen to what these people are saying and you should be fine. how big is the animal? by the way i would recamend checking out a book called Rhacodactylus: A Complete Guide to their Selection and Care, by Philippe de Vosjoli, Frank Fast, and Allen Repashy. It is an excelant book if your really interested in gargoyle geckos. it has lots of ohter info on the other Rhacodactylus species. it costs about 40 bucks.

They do sell an emergency kit at my local petsmart - i have found them to be quite useful compared to other pet stores - the emergency kit comes with a feeding suringe, calcium, vitamins, and other necessary nutrients. it is pretty cheap and worth a shot if the gecko still wont eat!!
