 Characteristics
i have a female golden gecko and she doesnt like to come out of hiding place all day. she doesnt eat that much, she is alert for the most part, she has no runny nose or anything. she changes colors alot from light to dark. so im not to sure what s going on with her

Well, first off they’re nocturnal, so don’t expect them to come out from hiding a lot during the day. Also, if your gecko is turning dark chances are that it’s stressed out. What kind of setup do you have it in? Are you going in there often to change things around, or to take the gecko our or anything like that? Golden’s are very sketchy and don’t enjoy being handled, which will absolutely cause stress and may put them off eating. They’re really more of a hands-off kind of lizard.

no i dont mess with him much. i just change his water everyday. but he is looking much better i guess. he went to his normal color, but he is still not eating unless i feed him baby food
