Is there anything more that I can do for my Golden? 
I recently rescued a Golden who is in pretty bad shape. I know he’s very stressed and am trying to give him the best environment possible. He’s in a tank that’s 18 x 18 x 18. I have a nice size water source in for him, live and fake plants, and one of those half circle tree bark things that I got at the pet store for him to hide in. The substrate is the stuff that comes in a brick and expands. My temps are in pretty much a consistent 85 and humidity is 80%. I feed him crickets and a fruit/vegie mix. I’ve seen him eat and just now went and checked on him and he was soaking in the water. I dust the crickets with calcium. Is there anything else I can be doing to fatten him up?

I thought I should correct the description of my temps ....at night they do go down. It’s during the day they are in the 80’s. The humidity is in the range of 80-90%. I don’t give him fruit every day and haven’t given him vegies since the first few times I tried it, since he didn’t touch it. I gave him bananas and mango last night. He ate a little of it, but not much. He likes the crickets.
I do not hold him, or try to. I know that these goldens don’t like that.
I also have a Leo and know they are completely different geckos. I’ve had my Leo now going on 4 years. She’s a beauty!
We have a zoo at our house and when I saw this poor Golden in the shape it is, I thought I’d try to save him...we also get lots of requests from people to take their animals when they can’t care for them properly. I’ve recently had to say no to some things. I just can’t do it all.
As near as I can tell, when I’ve been able to see the color of this Golden, he/she appears to be a golden color. Most of the time it’s dark though, so I know it’s stressed :(

mine sometimes is a darker color during the day but i know he’s fine. try checking on it at night, mine is always a golden/white color then. id say if its that color then it should be fine. and everying your doing seems to be great. just make sure there are a lot of things they can hide in.
