i have yet to remove the newspaper background and put up a more permanent one.. i’ll get around to it eventually.. lol |

What types of plants are those? Are they real or fake? If they are real, what type of substrate do you use? Sorry for a bazillion questions :) I just love the look of your cage. Thanks!!!! |

the foreground plant is a pothos. it started out as a tiny plant and then over a month has turned into a climbing monster plant.. lol the background plant is creping fig ( ficus pumilo) i believe. these plants were all purchased at Home Depot in the "indoor plant" section. as for substrate, i use coco fiber almost exclusively. when exposed to higher amounts of light, plants seem to thrive in this substrate. i have never had a plant fail to grow in coco fiber. i use the dehydrated brick versions that can be found at places like Petco and Petsmart, etc. add water and in about 2 hours you have enough to cover a 40 gallon tank sufficiently. thanks again for the compliments. |
