Thinking about a new tank...
I need to get my goldies a new tank because the one they have now is getting old and its not really suitable for them. I have seen one that I like the look of and have noticed that other people on this forum have it for their goldies but I have no idea for the name of it... Its glass and opens with two doors on hinges and has a sort of polystyrene backing and its taller than it is length... Theres just a few things I need help with before buying this for them... 1. My current tank has a built in lamp and heat lamp but this new one has a mesh top so how am I sapposed to keep the heat in, provide light for them and get the wires in (if they’re needed)? The lamp that I have is for light, but it is only on during the day, so If I have a heat lamp, is the other light needed? Its not like I keep them in a dark room... 2. I have noticed that the polystyrene back had a small gap between the actual polystyrene and the glass back... does anyone who has the same tank have any suggestions of how I can prevent crickets from getting in there? I can just see that happening... 3. I know the tank should be a certain amount of gallons for size, but all the places near where I live that sell them, dont show that information, so does anybody know the sort of length, width and height measurements the tank should be? I think thats all, although im sure i will remember more things that I didnt mention. Thanks, Emma x |
