Cage help
My golden gecko always hangs around about 1 to 2 inches of the top of his cage on the wall. I know they are arboreal now but I didn’t when I bought Him so his cage is 8 inches longer than tall. I have about 3 hiding places for him and the humidity is around 65% to 70% . He hangs write under the heat lamp when hes on the wall and the temperature is 80. Does he do it because its natural or does he need a taller cage?

Cage help yea i would give the little guy a little bit bigger of a cage. The temps may be low also like metioned before. I have a five-lined skink that likes to hang upside down on the screen on the top of his cage just for fun... lizards are wierd like that haha :D

Cage help Taller would be much better than long. However, I’d say that is also natural, mine definitely hung out at the top just like that and she lived in a 29 gallon tank. I believe her warmest temp under the light and where she hung out most was around 86 during the day.
But I will also say that the people who I got her from had her for a year and a half in a ten gallon cage, and she was actually very healthy and normal when I got her. They had gotten her from someone else, and they didn’t even know what she was, but she was one hardy lizard, that’s for sure! I had her for three years before she passed away.
