 Golden geckos fight?

hi a while ago i went to my local pet shop (by that i mean my local animal torture centre run by people who don’t know jack smarty pants about keeping animals), sadly i still have to shop their as it is the only place that sells micro chrickets in my area.
obviously i went over to the reptile section to see their stock which for a change did not contain the usual baby green iguana crawling with parasites by in its place a pare of extreemly dehidrated golden geckos.
they were being kept in a 5 gal tank containing a substrate of their own calci-sand (bird sand), an artifical cacti and a large hot rock with obvously no thermostat!! i desided that i could not leave these two animals to suffer so i brought them home for £40. the man in the shop caght both of them with a little too much ease that normal for a GG and i notices that the smaller ones nose was bleeding, he told me that it was just an abrasion and would heal up on its own.
they have now been living in a 30 gal tank with the correct temp, humidity etc. they are both now rehidrated and feeding well and the nose is no longer bleeding.
on reading this forum i have heard from a lot of people that two male GGwould fight to the death. mine have been living to geather for a good 3 months with not so much as a chase so i am assuming that they are not both male, one is slightly smaller than the other by about 3 centimeters which makes me think that he is the male.
however i decided to be on the safe side and sex them i have found that one is female and the other is male but there was also some bad news to be found, there is a large bulge on the smaller GG nose, i do not know what it is or if it has anything to do with the nose bleed, dose anyone know what it could be?

hmmm I’d say a vet would know best. I do wonder though, how does a golden heal? LIke say us people will get a scab on cuts, will they get something like that? I’ve never had my two get hurt so I have no idea.

Also, if you’re planning on keeping the two together, be ready for eggs.

It’s good to hear that you rescued them though if they are that bad at looking after the animals, you should report them.

yea i probebly will report them soon.
in answer to your question on healing a scab just formed over the abrasion and then it fell of leaving a nice piece of new skin, like us realy.
but the good news is that the lump on the females nose got realy huge and then ’burst’, well it disapered leaving the top laver of skin riped so it looks like is poped.
bother r still eating though so every thing is ok exept the petshop is still open and making money LOL
