Since there’s no forum here for these little guys, I thought Knob Tail owners may appreciate these little Aussie Beauties...

Dwarf Austrailan Sand Gecko...

I got him 2 weeks ago...almost full grown

I’ve seen him try to climb glass several times and he successfully did it tonight...very well!! Too well!! I gotta lock the lid for fear he’ll slip through a crack between the lid and the viv.

It is not a knob tail gecko. It is from the diplodactylus species it looks like d. pulcher. They are being reclassified as lucasium.

To both of you...I know it’s not a knob tail...and I said what it was when I showed the pictures. I just thought people with knobbies might like them since people often collect herps from the same habitats. It’s certainly not a helmeted gecko...far from it.

1.i wasn’t saying that it wasn’t a knob tailed gecko and;
2. it is a helmeted gecko maybe you call it something different in america but the only common name i know for it is helmeted gecko want proof see the link

Wow, it’s beautiful...where did you get it, because i wanted one months ago, but could not find one anywhere. The african helmeted gecko, is brown, with large floppy toe pads. very different from this australian hemeted. jacob
