 Egg went bad

After almost 60 days. Four of my eggs went bad. I don’t know what happened. I had a total of 10 eggs in the incubator and the oldest eggs all of sudden went bad. They were from two different females. Laid 1 day apart. Anyway here is a picture of what one of leo’s looked like when I cut the egg open.

**Kind of graphic, I could only bare to open one.

Is this what a normal looks like? I’ve never hatched one out but thats what I expected these to be. And if anyone knows what could’ve been the problem please let me know.

That looks like an albino baby.

Were your temps steady? How was the humidity? What kind of incubator are you using? None of the eggs started to dent in at an early stage?

I you sure they went bad? I think most of the time the eggs dent in before they hatch.

I have hatched eggs out before and I just keep them in the incubator untill they are molded and shrivled to make sure they arent going to hatch.

 Egg went bad

I have a hovabator. The temps stayed the same around 83 degrees. We went through a bit of a cold spell (cold for Miami at least) and the heat would come on more then normal the week before they went bad. The temps seemed to stay ok tho. I only took out two of the bad eggs because they started to mold I left in the other two to see what happens.

I thought the baby looked a little like an albino too. But that would mean the father had to be het for albino. That would be a surprise.

sometimes they just dont make it for what ever reason.. so its kinda hard to say.. but yeah it definately looks like some sort of albino. and depending where you get the leos from you have no clue if their het for anything. i even know some breeders dont say if theyre het for albino anymore because they are becoming really common like the normals

That’s too bad... The same thing happened to me last year when with a clutch of eggs that I was incubating at like 88.3 degrees. I opened them up and they looked pretty much like yours (except not albino). I’m sorry to hear of your loss though... Good luck with the other eggs!

Yup that one was albino. One of the other *bad eggs*hatched today. Now that I have one to compare to I know for certain the other one was albino.
