 Incubator now what!

I bought a Hovabator (for chickens) it has instructions for chicken eggs its on this site Link and it says on the instructions to ask a experienced breeder so... guys? um ya do u put substrate in it or not? well thx

I don’t put any substrate in my incubator. I put it in the container that is holding my eggs. I hope this helps.

Yes i would, it helps hold the moisture in so the egg won’t dry out and die ,but not too much moister or the egg will rote. Keep the substrate damp, not wet. DAMP! Then make sure the humidity is around 60%

If you do chose to use substrate, which I STRESS you to. Use vermiculite. You can find it at most plant pharmacy’s and stores.
