I found one, but is it the right type?

Hey,

I found one on www.gqfmfg.com.

I found this one under, incubaters, then onto Hova-Bater, then the one that I found it is this one"

Price: $47.98

Info:
Thermal air Hova-Bater

Is this the right type and kind? Will it incubate leo eggs at a constent 83 degress? I want all females...

Thank you

Emma

you can get a chicken egg incubator for much cheaper... I’ve even heard stories of people hatching eggs by just placing it on a tupperware with perlite and leaving it in their closet...

Mhhhhhh. Okay.

Is it true that the eggs will hatch if you just do that and leave them in your closet?

Is there any other ways to keep the eggs warm, at 83 degress?

Thank you..

I couldn’t see the pic, but from your description, it sounds good. I actually have one right now at 83 degrees, and for a starter incubator, it works great. When are you planning on breeding your Leos?

I may breed, I may not. If I do, then if will be close when summer ends.
Because I may wait for my four week old babies to get old enough to breed, or I may try to find Bling a female leo...

But only if my mom says yes....

You will have to get bling a female if you want to breed this year....the females need to be at least a yr. old. or if you can get her and him past 50g by september then you might be ok. :)

I think you should not breed your leos, I mean if you want real bad, fine... But you are still really young. When I first got my leos, I was going to breed them, but held off because they are a lot of work. You need to have a lot of free time...

YEA I agree with the post above. You need time, money, and space. Breeding leopard geckos is not an easy task you have to make sure your ready for up to 16 eggs per season for each female. I actually got unlucky and have only gotten one real fertile egg which should hatch within the next 2 weeks. Lets see how that goes. Long before it hatches I have a little sweater box ready for the little guy/girl. Think of it twice and if youre young and really want to breed make sure your parents are willing to help ok?

Understand we are not trying to put you off the idea... (I reread my post and it seemed kind of mean). We want to make sure you know what you are getting into. You are very young, and I think that you are letting your mind dwell on the new cute geckos you will get. But also consider these costs:
Incubator
incubating material
deli cups
pinheads/small crix for hatchlings (who can eat alot)
housing for the hatchlings
Are you going to sell them or keep them? If so where? And sell them where?
selling can be annoying
And last but not least... all the costs in electricity/heartache/sweat/tears
Do you still think your ready?
