 Gecko laying only one egg

Our female has had normal clutches all season. The last two clutches she laid one egg in her egg-laying box and what looked like the second one outside on the tile. This white mass was smaller than her normal eggs. This last clutch I have only found one egg. No white mass anywhere else.

My question is could they lay only one egg? Could they lay them at two different times? Or should I be concerned that she might be egg-bound?

This is her second season laying eggs... They have all hatched beautifully...
She eats great, has a regular hide and a humid hide, has UTH, plenty of fresh water in a shallow bowl, a little bowl with calcium which she loves to lick out of and is kept on tile.

Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

 Gecko laying only one egg

It just seemed a little strange that it started happening in the middle of the breeding season.

Thanks for the information.

We have a male with her at all times. We had heard that the females retained the sperm and kept having eggs all season long but we weren’t sure how true this was.

It’s normal for them to only have one egg. They can retain sperm all breeding season. Perfectly normal.
