What morph is this?????
He was sold to me as a SHTCT het RAPTOR. I know you cannot tell the RAPTOR part but, I know it is not super hypo or hypo for that matter, and he is NOT a carrot tail. However he is defiantly a tangerine. Any guesses are welcome!! Thanks in advance shap |

emerines are a by-product of the eclipse morphs, it very well may be hypo as in ’one parent’ was hypo, but it definitely has spots, so it is not too hypo. it seems to have picked up a lot of the stripe dorsal qualities raptors and eclipse produce, interesting pattern and colors... you may not have purchased it as an ’emerine’ but ’emerine’ is just a label geckos with intense color can pop out of any eclipse/raptor cross when outcrossed, on the hypo scale it is not a prime example, but it is a very cool gecko-anyway Duane |

i think you have a midunderstanding of what het means.. het is short for heterozygous. which basically means a trait that the gecko carries but does not express it in their color or pattern. its not possible to be het for hypo god do ur research |

Quote: Just wondering why can’t a hypo be het? I deal with mostly Raptors and Giants so I don’t know much about hypos.
Basically a hypo is just a pattern there is Super Hypo which is 0-5 or so spot and then there is Hypo which are reduced spotting (less then a normal). These are a few of my leopard geckos. Top left would be a hypo because of the spotting and top right a normal. Link This isn’t something you can breed for as the spotting is something you just don’t know. You can breed to SHTCTB together and still get babies with spots I have had it happen. You can reduce them with temperature sometimes but that is not always proven effective. |
