No, it is certianly not a SHTCT. I agree with it being a high yellow.

you have a hypo tangerine. High yellows look basically like normals, but dont have spotts on their legs... I can see how people would be confused on this. I just think that it is quite clear that it is from hypo tang. decent. Maybe its parents were HT x Normal or something like that. Yours would be concidered a "low quality" animal morph wise, but I myself really like the look of them. Nicxe looking gecko.

I’d be glad to help if I saw a picture of yours... Oh and another thing that makes me say shes a HT is that she has a bit of orange on her tail (not enough to be a carrot tail) witch generally goes hand in hand with the hypo tang. line.

Fishiy: i’d definitely say high yellow. people used to say hypo high yellow for geckos that looked like that (i had one almost identical to yours) but i don’t know how accurate that is. high yellows typically look like normals, except they have much less spotting which allows for the bright yellow coloring. your gecko doesn’t have enough orange in the tail to be considered carrot tail, although i know people used to classify that as "partial" carrot tail.

Pictures 1 and 2 are from hypo lineage in my opinion. CT or partial CT rarely pops up in true high yellows. The remnants in those pictures suggests that the animals are from hypo lines. They are also low quality tangs. Squee posted an accurate picture of a high yellow.

Upon second look, picture two does appear to be a high yellow.

Above are links to good pictures of true high yellows. As you can see, they are about as close to "normals" as you can get. I see lots of people confusing poor quality hypo (tang) with high yellows. Here are some pictures of geckos with hypo and tang. blood that might be confused with high yellows:

those first three pictures are most likely not accurate to the geckos’ actual coloring. notice the way the tails look in all three pictures, they look as though they probably have some orange coloring, but the lighting in the pictures is off.

in fact, the first picture could possibly be normal, since it looks as though the yellow is overly bright.

i think the tang in the bloodlines can only be positive if you can get an accurate picture. in my experience its hard to get the exact colors of a reptile with most digital camera’s. especially with yellows and light shades of orange, its easy to get a picture of a gecko with no orange to show some orange in pictures, as you can also get pictures of orangish geckos to come out yellow.

remember that high yellows were one of the very first morphs. The fact is, they DO look like normals. Original high yellows are just geckos with a "higher yellow" background, and very slightly reduced spots.
