 Incubator question

I’ve had my incubator up and running for a while now, but today i realized something, that the heat tape wire is pinched when i close it. Obviously i realized this before, but my question is do i have to worry about a fire starting due to this?

I’m using one of those normal coolers, i don’t know what their called but it’s not Styrofoam so i can’t drill a hole in the top for the wire.

Any input would help.

 Incubator question

What makes you think you cant drill it? If its just a regular "plastic" type cooler a regular drill bit will work just fine. It could possible be a fire hazard , but I would be more concerned that it shorts out and no longer works.

 Incubator question

Wow, I honestly never though about that. Maybe because i don’t have a drill, but i do have a soldering iron which should work just find. So i’ll go solder it right now.

thank you.
