 Constant incubation temp changes?

Out of curiosity. What are the affects a gecko has when incubator temps change to much. I already know about kink tails. I have other ideas like abnormalities in bone developmental and/or brain damage? Maybe takes longer to hatch? But i can’t be positive. So i figured i’d ask you guys.

 Constant incubation temp changes?

when i used to breed leos, i was having problems at one point with babies hatching with head and back deformities. i was worried that it was a genetic problem until i found that my incubator was randomly fluctuating. once i replaced the faulty incubator, i had no more problems with hatchling deformities.

maybe it was a coincidence, but i feel its important to keep temperatures fairly stable.

Thanks for the input.

My incubator is stable for the most part. I only have problems when im placing new eggs in, and then for some reason it takes a couple days to get back to my stable temp. I guess because of the air exchange when i’m opening it. but it’s never a dramatic change in temperature so i shouldnt have any problems.

if you find that the temps change that much when you place new eggs in try having a cup of warm to hot water close by so you can add it in when you place the lid back on the incuabtor it will bump the temp right back up to where its suppose to be

my issue is keeping the water in the incubator it ussally runs out befor i remember that i should check it lol thats usally after the first week
